2. General Terms

  • Wholesale Account: For registered businesses purchasing in bulk (requires business verification)
  • Reseller Account: For individuals enrolled in our reseller program (subject to approval)

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding the password and any activities or actions under your account. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3.4 Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of these Terms and Conditions
  • Fraudulent activity or suspected fraud
  • Providing false or misleading information
  • Engaging in activities that harm Update Life or other users
  • Violation of applicable laws or regulations

4. Products and Services

4.1 Product Descriptions

We make every effort to display our products and their colors as accurately as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that your device’s display of colors accurately reflects the actual product color. All product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided for general information only.

4.2 Product Availability

All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that product.

All jewelry sold on Update Life is artificial/imitation jewelry made from materials including but not limited to brass, copper alloys, artificial stones, cubic zirconia, glass, resin, and various plating materials (gold-plated, silver-plated, etc.). None of our products contain real gold, diamonds, precious stones, or other precious metals unless explicitly specified in the product description.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our products are fashion jewelry/artificial jewelry. They are not made from precious metals or genuine gemstones. Product images may show items that appear more valuable than the actual materials used. Please read product descriptions carefully.

4.5 Product Images

Product photographs are for illustrative purposes only. Actual products may vary slightly in color, size, and design due to:

  • Natural variations in plating and finishing

4.6 Customization Services

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Pricing

All prices displayed on our website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders already placed.

5.4 Payment Processing

Payment must be made in full at the time of placing your order unless otherwise agreed in writing for wholesale customers. We use third-party payment gateways to process payments securely. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers.

5.5 Failed Payments

If your payment fails or is declined, your order will not be processed. We are not responsible for delays or failed orders due to payment issues. You may attempt to resubmit your payment or contact our customer service for assistance.

5.6 Price Matching

Update Life does not offer price matching with other retailers or our own previous prices. Discounts and promotional offers cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

6. Orders and Order Acceptance

6.1 Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products subject to these Terms. All orders are subject to acceptance by Update Life. We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.

6.2 Order Confirmation

After placing an order, you will receive an email acknowledgment confirming receipt of your order. This acknowledgment does not constitute acceptance of your order. Acceptance occurs when we dispatch the products to you and send a shipping confirmation email.

6.3 Order Accuracy

It is your responsibility to ensure that all order details (including shipping address, contact information, product selection, size, and quantity) are accurate at the time of placing the order. We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect information provided by you.

6.4 Order Cancellation by Update Life

We reserve the right to cancel any order in the following circumstances:

  • Product is out of stock or unavailable
  • Pricing or product information error
  • Suspected fraudulent transaction
  • Unable to verify payment information
  • Delivery address is unserviceable
  • Any other reasonable grounds

If we cancel your order after payment has been processed, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.

6.5 Order Cancellation by Customer

Retail customers may cancel orders before dispatch by contacting customer service. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled but may be eligible for return according to our Returns Policy (see Section 8).

Wholesale & Bulk Orders: Cancellation of wholesale and bulk orders may be subject to cancellation fees depending on the stage of processing. Custom or specially manufactured orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.

6.6 Order Modifications

Order modifications (change of product, size, quantity, or shipping address) can only be made before the order is dispatched. Please contact customer service immediately if you need to modify your order. We cannot guarantee that modification requests will be accommodated.

7. Shipping and Delivery

7.1 Shipping Coverage

We currently ship to addresses within India only. We do not ship internationally at this time. We reserve the right to restrict shipping to certain areas based on operational constraints.

7.2 Shipping Methods and Timeframes

Standard delivery timeframes:

  • Metro Cities: 3-5 business days
  • Tier 1 & 2 Cities: 4-7 business days
  • Tier 3 Cities & Rural Areas: 7-10 business days
  • Remote Locations: 10-15 business days

These are estimated timeframes and not guaranteed delivery dates. Actual delivery times may vary based on location, courier availability, and other factors beyond our control.

7.3 Shipping Charges

  • Free Shipping: On prepaid orders above ₹1,000
  • Standard Shipping: Charges vary by location and order value (calculated at checkout)
  • Cash on Delivery: Additional COD charges may apply
  • Express Shipping: Available for select pin codes at additional cost

7.4 Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. You can track your order through our website or the courier partner’s tracking portal.

7.5 Delivery Attempts

Our courier partners will make up to 3 delivery attempts. If delivery is unsuccessful after 3 attempts, the order will be returned to us, and you may be responsible for return shipping charges and re-delivery charges for resending the order.

7.6 Undelivered Packages

Packages returned to us due to incorrect address, customer unavailability, or refusal to accept delivery may be subject to a restocking fee and will not qualify for free return shipping.

7.7 Delivery Confirmation

Upon delivery, please inspect the package before signing the delivery receipt. If the package appears damaged or tampered with, note this on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately. Acceptance of delivery without noting damage may affect your ability to claim for damaged goods.

7.8 Force Majeure – Shipping Delays

We are not liable for delays in delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, government restrictions, courier delays, or other force majeure events.

8. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

8.1 Return Eligibility

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Returns are accepted under the following conditions:

  • Return request made within 7 days of delivery
  • Product is unused, unworn, and in original condition
  • Original packaging, tags, and labels are intact
  • Product is not damaged, altered, or customized
  • Proof of purchase (invoice) is provided

8.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Earrings and nose pins (for hygiene reasons)
  • Customized or personalized jewelry
  • Products marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable”
  • Products purchased during special promotional events (unless defective)
  • Products damaged due to misuse or negligence
  • Products without original packaging and tags

8.3 Return Process

  1. Contact our customer service at care@updatelife.in within 7 days of delivery
  2. Provide your order number, reason for return, and photos of the product (if defective/damaged)
  3. Receive return authorization and instructions from our team
  4. Pack the product securely in original packaging
  5. Ship the product to our return address (provided upon authorization)
  6. Once we receive and inspect the product, refund will be processed

8.5 Exchanges

We offer exchanges for size or color variations subject to availability. To request an exchange:

  • Contact customer service within 7 days of delivery
  • Exchange is subject to product availability
  • Original product must be returned in eligible condition
  • Exchange shipping charges may apply

8.6 Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification. If approved:

  • Prepaid Orders: Refund to original payment method within 7-10 business days
  • COD Orders: Refund via bank transfer (provide bank details) within 10-15 business days
  • Store Credit: Available upon request, issued immediately after approval

8.7 Partial Returns

For orders with multiple items, partial returns are accepted. Refund will be processed for the returned items only. If the partial return reduces the order value below the free shipping threshold, applicable shipping charges may be deducted from the refund.

8.8 Defective or Damaged Products

If you receive a defective or damaged product:

  • Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery with photos/video evidence
  • We will arrange for replacement or full refund including shipping costs
  • Return shipping will be covered by Update Life
WHOLESALE & BULK ORDERS: Returns for wholesale and bulk orders are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Defective products will be replaced or refunded. Returns due to change of mind may be subject to restocking fees up to 20% of order value.

9. Wholesale and Reseller Terms

9.1 Wholesale Account Registration

To qualify for a wholesale account, you must:

  • Provide valid business registration documents (GST certificate, business license, etc.)
  • Submit a completed wholesale application form
  • Provide business references (if requested)
  • Agree to minimum order requirements
  • Meet our creditworthiness criteria (for credit terms)

9.2 Wholesale Pricing and Discounts

Wholesale pricing is available only to approved wholesale accounts. Discount tiers are based on:

  • Order quantity and value
  • Product category
  • Payment terms (prepaid vs. credit)
  • Customer loyalty and order history

Wholesale prices are subject to change and may vary by product. Current pricing will be provided upon request and confirmed at the time of order.

9.3 Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ)

Wholesale orders must meet minimum order requirements which vary by product category. MOQ information is available in the wholesale section or upon request to our wholesale team.

9.4 Payment Terms for Wholesale

  • New Wholesale Customers: 100% advance payment required
  • Established Customers: Credit terms available upon approval (NET 30 or NET 45)
  • Large Orders: Partial advance payment with balance on delivery may be arranged

9.5 Reseller Program

Our reseller program allows individuals and businesses to sell Update Life products. Reseller benefits include:

  • Special reseller pricing (between retail and wholesale)
  • Marketing materials and product images
  • Dedicated reseller support
  • Dropshipping support (where applicable)
  • Regular product updates and trend information

9.6 Reseller Obligations

As a reseller, you agree to:

  • Not sell Update Life products below our recommended retail prices without permission
  • Accurately represent products using our approved descriptions and images
  • Not make false claims about product materials or value
  • Provide good customer service to your end customers
  • Not sell products to other resellers or wholesalers
  • Comply with all applicable laws regarding jewelry sales

9.7 Termination of Wholesale/Reseller Accounts

We reserve the right to terminate wholesale or reseller accounts for:

  • Violation of terms and conditions
  • Non-payment or payment delays
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Misrepresentation of products
  • Violation of pricing policies
  • Any other breach of agreement

10. Intellectual Property Rights

10.1 Ownership

All content on the Update Life website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, product descriptions, photographs, designs, and software, is the property of Update Life or its content suppliers and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws.

10.2 Trademarks

The Update Life name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Update Life. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

10.3 Permitted Use

You may view and download content from our website for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not:
